How to contact Team Button

If you need help before or during the conference, here’s the quickest way to reach us:

  • Slack (fastest)
    Go to the Button 2026 Slack workspace and post your question in #button-support, tagging @TeamButton.
  • Email (for less urgent needs)

Registration and tickets

  • One ticket per person
    Each registration includes one email/password login. Sharing logins is not allowed for the conference or the on-demand library.
  • Transfers & cancellations
    The deadline to cancel or transfer tickets has passed.
  • Last-minute registrations
    Anyone can register for individual or recordings-only passes through the end of the conference. Recordings-only passes remain available afterward.

Getting ready for Button

  • Join Slack
    Visit our Slack instructions page to get access to the Button 2026 Slack workspace.
  • Watch parties
    No sign-up required — just check the daily schedule pages for Zoom links to join in.
  • Live broadcast & watch party recordings
    • Daily live broadcasts are published to the on-demand library within 12 hours of airing.
    • Watch party recordings with Q&A added appear in the on-demand library one week after the conference ends.
  • Button playlist
    The music you hear DJ Jason playing during the conference can be heard on our Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube playlists.

Attending Button

To get the best Button experience:

  • Live broadcast
    • No downloads or account required.
  • Zoom
    • Required for watch parties. Download Zoom
    • If Zoom is blocked on your work computer, join via the Zoom website, a personal computer, or the iOS/Android app.
  • VPNs & bandwidth
    • We recommend not using a VPN to avoid connectivity issues.
    • Recommended speed: 20 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up
  • Browser compatibility
    • Windows 7+ (IE8+ or latest Chrome)
    • macOS 10.7+ (latest Safari or Chrome)
    • Ubuntu Linux (latest Firefox)
    • iOS 5.0+ / Android 4.0.4+ (mobile)
  • Joining late / leaving early
    You can join the livestream at any time. If you leave and return, just refresh the page to catch up.

Library publishing schedule

  • September 17: Pre-recorded videos and slide decks for watch parties
  • September 23–25: Conference
    • Keynote videos: published right after they air live
    • Full-day live broadcast recordings: published within 12 hours
  • September 25 (EOD): Slide decks (as one zip file)
  • Week of October 5: Broadcast + watch party recordings with audience Q&A

Important:

  • Slide deck sharing is at each speaker’s discretion, some may not be available.
  • Each ticket includes on-demand access for one person only.

After Button

  • Access duration
    You’ll be able to log in to the attendee website to watch recordings and download slides through September 2027.
  • ‍Slack community
    The Button 2026 Slack workspace will stay open for a few months after the conference.
  • ‍Swag
    • If you ordered your swag before August 30, it should have arrived before the conference (international shipping may take longer).
    • If you ordered after August 30, it will ship after the conference.
    • Haven’t signed up for swag yet? Sign up by September 25.
    • You can always order additional merch from our online shop.

Yes.

Oh, you want the actual story? Well ... tacos are the official food of Button! UX writing brings joy, and tacos are units of joy (according to Mario Ferrer and Jane Ruffino). Since we were locked down in the first Button, during Covid, Torrey Podmajersky started a world-wide map of taco joints based on recommendations from Button attendees. She’s been maintaining it ever since, adding new recommendations each Button! So go to #tacos to get the link to the Google map, and recommend your local taco eatery.
